An Evening with Ashley Elston

Join us for an entertaining conversation with bestselling author and LSU Shreveport alum Ashley Elston! Ashley’s debut adult novel First Lie Wins is a Reese’s Book Club pick.

First Lie Wins is drawing rave reviews and has been on New York Times bestseller list more than 14 weeks. Hulu is developing a film version of the story, with Ashley slated as executive producer.

Ashley earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts at LSUS in 1997. She worked as a wedding photographer for years before starting her writing career. Her previous novels — all Young Adult fiction — have garnered praise and a loyal following. One of them, The Rules for Disappearing, was nominated for the Best Young Adult Novel of the International Thriller Awards.

KTBS 3 anchor Johnette Magner will moderate the conversation, which includes a Q and A session with audience members. Ashely will sign books after the talk. People may bring their own books or buy one during the event. The evening includes free hors d’oeuveres and beverages.
