Pave the Way to Excellence.
"As lead donors, Dr. Lacy and Edie Williams are bright stars in the Circle of Excellence. Their generosity and commitment to LSUS - Edie as a director on the Alumni Board and Lacy as a director on the Foundation Board - serve as an example we hope will inspire others to embrace this new center of pride for our University. By purchasing bricks, you can leave a lasting legacy of your years at LSUS or honor someone who helped make your dreams come true."
Dr. Vincent Marsala
Chancellor
The Dr. Lacy and Edie Williams Circle of Excellence Plaza was developed especially for the 40th Anniversary of LSUS and was formally dedicated April 10, 2008.
Veterans Memorial Benches and Other Walkway Benches
On May 24, 2010, Major Ronald Wayne Culver, Jr. was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. Major Culver received his LSUS Accounting degree in December 1989. He was second-in-command of the 2/108th Cavalry contingent headquartered at Fort Humbug in Shreveport. Following this tragic incident, the LSUS Alumni Association and LSUS Foundation co-sponsored a project to establish the first Veterans Memorial Bench in Major Culver's memory.
Benches may be purchased as memorials or to honor someone. Just click the convenient link on this page. For more information about benches and plaques, please call 318-797-5190.
New bricks and benches are placed annually or bi-annually depending on the weather.
